I've always viewed September, not January, as the start of the New Year. This will be the third year that I have published an Ongoing Reading List. I usually try to give myself a focus or theme for my year's reading. Two years ago it was plays, last year I tried to read book series (such as Agatha Christie's "Poirot" or "Miss Marple," or George R.R. Martin's "Song of Fire and Ice"). I haven't decided what my particular theme will be this year, but I've finished my first book of this new list (so far) and it is historical/classical literature. Maybe I'll try to work my way through some of the classics ... hope I don't get too bored.
1) The Diary of Samuel Pepys edited and abridged by Richard le Gallien
2) The Body in the Library by Agatha Christie
3) Cat Among the Pigeons by Agatha Christie
4) A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams
